Scavenger Hunt Planning Committee

This committee will commence as soon as possible. The group will plan the questions for a challenging scavenger hunt.

Skills sought:

  • Familiarity with the 2024 scavenger hunt.
  • Creative ideas to build on the success of last year's game making the 2025 hunt more challenging and even more fun!
  • Willingness to "plan" the 2025 hunt (not be a player).
  • Ability to keep a secret.

Time Commitment
Assume 4-6 committee meetings before the annual conference. Attendance at the annual conference is preferred, but not required.

Social Media Video Creation Committee

This committee will commence as soon as possible. Goals will be to create video content to share with the ASMS community via social media. Starting point ideas include how-to or pro-tip videos on abstract submission, creating a great poster, loading a talk in the speaker ready room. 

Skills sought:

  • Experience creating social media videos.
  • Motivation to creatively share ASMS messages and tips & tricks.

Time Commitment
Assume 4 committee meetings before the annual conference and time-on-your-own or in small groups for video creation. Attendance at the annual conference is preferred, but not required.

Social Media

History-focused Interview Video Committee

This committee will commence as soon as possible. Goals are to identify special or senior members of the Society and record short interviews at the annual conference. Inspiration is a video short form of the archival oral history projects. 

Skills sought:

  • Interest in history of mass spec and of ASMS.
  • Experience conducting interviews and/or researching great interview questions.
  • Video recording experience.

Time Commitment
Assume 4-6 committee meetings before the annual conference. Attendance at the annual conference is required as we anticipate recording interviews at the annual conference.
