Ground Transportation
A well established bus shuttle just discontinued service between Santa Fe and the Albuquerque airport. We are researching new options for transportation between the Santa Fe and Albuquerque airport. We will post updated information in a couple of weeks (early January). Uber charges about $85 one-way from the Albuquerque airport to Santa Fe.
The New Mexico Rail Runner Express now runs all the way to Santa Fe from the Albuquerque airport and offers day passes. Click on the link to purchase tickets online. At the airport, you will have to connect to the Rail Runner Express, by city bus route 50. The ABQ Ride bus stop is located on Level 1 at the west end of the shuttle island. Look for the bus stop signs. In Santa Fe, the station is about a 10 min walk from the Eldorado. This option is recommended for the light luggage and savvy traveler.
Santa Fe Regional Airport (SAF) does not have a taxi service so plan ahead with Uber, Lyft or car service. Depending on day and time, rates are about $30 from the airport to the La Fonda on the Plaza Hotel. For more information on transportation from the Santa Fe Regional Airport, click here.
