We are pleased to announce the new Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry (JASMS) is Jenny Brodbelt, The University of Texas, Austin.

A longtime member and Past President of ASMS, and Associate Editor of JASMS since 2006, she will begin her term as JASMS Editor-in-Chief on February 1. JASMS is fortunate to have sustained editorial leadership by outstanding scientists from the ASMS community.

Dr. Brodbelt notes, "ASMS is an amazing scientific society, and it is essential to maintain a respected peer-reviewed journal to showcase the very best mass spectrometry science, including fundamentals, instrumentation, and applications. JASMS has established a strong reputation, and there is room for growth and new strategies to expand both readership and submissions. I am excited about the opportunity to lead the journal and will strive to increase the metrics of JASMS and further elevate its status and impact as the premier mass spectrometry journal."
