Editor-in-Chief Past, Present, Future

We are pleased to announce the incoming Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry (JASMS) is Vicki Wysocki.

A longtime member and Past President of ASMS she will begin her term as JASMS Editor-in-Chief on July 1, 2022. JASMS is fortunate to have sustained editorial leadership by outstanding scientists from the ASMS community.

Dr. Wysocki notes, "Mass spectrometry has been on an amazing trajectory, and it does not seem to be slowing down. The current scope of JASMS is broad and appropriate (instrumentation principles, design, and demonstration, structures and chemical properties of gas-phase ions, studies of thermodynamic properties, ion spectroscopy, chemical kinetics, mechanisms of ionization, theories of ion fragmentation, cluster ions, and potential energy surfaces; structural elucidation, biopolymer sequencing, development or validation of new methodology, proteomics and other 'omics related research, and environmental and forensic measurements). I expect JASMS to embrace continued growth and morph to match growth in the field."
