How to Suggest a Candidate for the Next Election

To suggest a candidate (including yourself!) for the next election (December 2026), please submit the name by email to info@asms.org along with a brief statement that the individual would be willing to stand for election. This information will be shared with the Nominating Committee.  

Nominee Eligibility:

  • Nominees must be members of ASMS continuously for two years prior to the year of nomination.
  • Nominees must also be based at a North American institution/company (this is per the bylaws of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry.)

The following Board roles will be included in the next election (December 2026): Vice President for Arrangements, Secretary, and Member-at-Large for Publications.
