Welcome - Attendee Guide

Welcome to the 'Rebooted' edition of the 68th ASMS Conference on Mass Spectrometry and Allied Topics

The event is hybrid on-demand and live event. The on-demand content is available to registrants June 1 - Aug 31 via the online planner and mobile app. The live events are scheduled June 1-5 (Week 1) and June 8-12 (Week 2). Schedules for these events appear on this website (Week 1 and Week 2). The live events are primarily webinars using Zoom integration with online planner and mobile app. They will all be recorded and also available on-demand a few hours following their 'live' conclusion.

All live events appear in our Program schedule in Central Daylight Time (CDT).

Can I still register for the Reboot and/or the Online Short Courses?

Yes! Please find Reboot Registration details here. We now believe that late registration can be accommodated throughout the summer. Online Short Course registration will remain open until June 3. Some courses are already sold-out and we anticipate more courses closing before June 3. If you are interested in a short course, take action now. Course info and registration.

Do I need Zoom application to attend the Live Webinars in Weeks 1 and 2?

No, attendees will only be able to access the webinars using the online planner or mobile app. These are integrated with Zoom. You do not need to have a Zoom account to participate.

NOTE: If you are a panelist, speaker, session chair, presenter of any kind for a webinar you do need the Zoom app and you should review the Presenter Guidelines page ASAP.

What Does On-Demand Content Mean and How Will It Be Organized?

All orals (our standard parallel session talks) and posters will display in the first week schedule. They will be labeled as Mon AM OnDemand Orals, Mon Posters OnDeman, Mon PM Orals OnDemand, etc. Attendees will be able to click in to these areas and start watching videos and reading posters (all) beginning June 1 when online planner/app is available.

What are the Live Webinars All About?

In Week 1, June 1-5, we have scheduled live webinars for plenary lectures, tutorials, award lectures and presentations, workshops (40), and the ASMS meeting (Board updates, more award presentations.)

In Week 2, June 8-12, we have live webinars for 'Oral Session Watch Party + Live Q&A'. These are 3-hour webinars, one for each oral session. We will play a movie of all talks in the session (the same talks that are also available on-demand) which will last for approx the hours 1 and 2. Then hour 3 will come to life with the Session Chair and Speakers for the oral session. They will take questions via the Zoom webinar QA and Raise Hand features from attendees.

How long will registrants have access to the on-demand content and recorded webinars?

Three months ending August 31.
