LOCATION. The TradeWinds Island Resort consists of two hotels that are side-by-side, the TradeWinds Island Grand Hotel and the Sandpiper Hotel and Suites. The rooms and program space for the Fall Workshop are at the TradeWinds Sandpiper Resort, 6000 Gulf Blvd., St Pete Beach, Florida.

TRAVEL. The Tampa International Airport (main airport) and St. Petersburg/Clearwater Airport (smaller airport) are both about 28 miles away and approximately a 30-minute drive to the hotel. The Tradewinds Resort operates a direct airport shuttle service that costs about $23.00 one way. To reserve shuttle, call (866) 403-3303 or send email to resorttransportation@yahoo.com. A taxi will cost about $70 one way from either airport. ACCOMMODATIONS. The Sandpiper is an all-suites hotel. All rooms are non-smoking. Rooms include a "convenience kitchen" of refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Courtyard one-bedroom suites are $159. A limited number of Gulf view suites are available at $179. The rates include wireless Internet and free self-parking. Room rates are subject to state and local taxes (currently 12%). This special room rate is available until October 8, 2010. Don’t be disappointed - reserve early!
