| Annual Conference Abstract Submission
|
|
Abstract submission is now closed.
All notifications concerning the status of abstracts will be sent to the person logged in when the abstract is submitted. If you are entering an abstract for someone else it is your responsibility to notify that author of the status of the abstract. ASMS will not be responsible for contacting authors who are not described in the login profile.
Criteria
The ASMS Program Committee will meet ONCE to review abstracts. Abstracts must meet the following criteria to be accepted:
- The results presented in each abstract should add something new to our base of knowledge in mass spectrometry; abstract review will focus on the novel aspects of each submission.
- The abstract should include sufficient results to support your novel aspect.
- There must be a fundamental difference between each of the abstracts submitted from a research group. The same results may not appear in multiple presentations.
- Only one presentation will be permitted for each attendee (although an individual may be listed as a co-author on additional abstracts).
- Abstracts with a substantial commercial content will not be accepted.
- Failure to disclose information, such as the ID of compounds, is not acceptable.
Instructions
It is recommended that abstracts be directly entered into the on-line form rather than cutting and pasting from a word processor. Before going on-line to submit your abstract, assemble the following:
Title – Limit 20 words
Introduction – Limit 120 words
Method – Limit 120 words
Preliminary data – Limit 300 words
Novel Aspect – Limit 20 words
No incomplete abstracts will be considered. After entering the abstract on-line, there will be an opportunity to format special characters and symbols.
Please have all of your information in hand before you begin. Click "Continue" until the end of the submission process. Your abstract will not be submitted until you click "Submit Abstract" at the end.
Click "save my work" if you need to go away from the data entry screen for a prolonged period of time. You can re-submit your abstract at any time up to the deadline.
